If ever there were proof that chicks can rock, the Bluebonnets are it. Kathy Valentine, Eve Monsees, Kristy McInnis and Dominique Davalos joined forces in 2007. All four women have impressive musical histories — drummer McInnis has been in bands since she was in college, including The Delphines with Davalos and Valentine; Davalos worked with famed manager Malcolm McLaren as a youngster, and has split her time between music and acting gigs; Monsees is a blues guitarist who, at 16, could put "opening for Jimmie Vaughan at Antone's" on her resume, and who fronts Eve and the Exiles; and Valentine was a founding member of the '80s sensations the Go-Go's, and has since started her own rock-oriented groups with Davalos and self-released a solo album, Light Years, in 2005. Together, these women craft bluesy rock 'n' roll — it's beer-swigging, booty-shaking music with sass
